Im now gonna say some things that common people might think is politically incorrect.
But this is my page and dont care. I actually dislike when people say that they are afraid of modern
technology. Ok i can understand my grandmothers video dont work future schock.
But i get really frustrated when people in
my age or adults tell me that we should all take it more slow with technology, that its all happening to fast.
Once a time ive spend some minutes talking with a women in my age about artificial-genetically changed food by humans.
O boy ive got very frustrated that time.
Ok i know that some other cyberpunks dont agree with me.
Anyhow my view on that question is quite simple.
FASTER!!! FASTER!!! please FASTER!!!
We have always used artificial-genetical changes in our crops, and their she sat eating rice.
She thought tha rice was given to ous from god. She did not whant to listen to me when i tried to explain that
rice was from the begining not very differnt from simple grass. And that humans had crossed differnent crops and that rice is not many
thousands years old.
No that was to much for her.
Some sort of technology has always been used by humans
from our start, imagine the first human who had picked up a stone to smash coconuts. Had he lost power to the stone ?
Now when he had a stone...
Ooohh my god! hes arm was not human any more. Had hes arm lost power to the stone ?
Or could he now build a dam church. William Gibson made a comparison between an Indian living in bangladesh and a
man living in the western world. The man in bangladesh was still a small human creature working as an farmer most time of
hes day for hes survival.
Now the man in west he is something else, he can by himself a new set of organs. A posthuman.
Imagine if some 30-40 years from now your organs gets worn out of all pollution and strange metals u expose them to.
And lets say that u can but a new set of organs from a organfactorylab. For a price not more expensive than going to the dentist.
Whould u say no to that possibility?
Now lets imagine this, lets say that a new leagal smartdrug is out on the market 10 years from now.
The drug does not have any bad after taking it effects, it just raises your IQ with 50 points.
Having taking it have u afford not taking it any more.
Would u like to get 50 IQ points stupider ?
